    The importance of materials in language teaching and learning has been extensively acknowledged (McGrath, ). Teaching materials are a key instrument in most language courses. The advantages of learning a modern language There are many advantages associated with the introduction of a modern language at primary level. These include an enjoyable experience. The child should be introduced to another language in an enjoyable age-appropriate manner, where he or she is encouraged to use the language in relevant activities.
